Have I officially got old?

Looked out the window this morning and saw the rain and thought "The grass in the back needed it". I then went to see the grass looking a lush shade of green instead of the yellowish colour its looked like for ages.
I then realised I am old. Or just a boring cunt.

I found myself suprisingly happy to be back in long trousers and normal socks today. Getting bored of wearing shorts.

I wear shorts all year round... at work from probably May-Oct... but at home I reckon 11 months of the year in shorts..... Oh I still look at the grass and think Yes it's raining....

You are old when you look out the window and see that it is raining.
And then you get wet when you leave the house 5 mins later because you forgot it was raining.

Ha ha - it is true, something my Dad always said to me when it rained, it is good for the garden.
I now say this to my kids.
I managed to mow the lawn last night and there was nothing more satisfying that seeing my wembley turf going back to the green colour it should be, when looking at it this morning.
It's the little things in life...

The missus and I discussed on our daily walk over the beach last night, how the place was looking like a desert and needed a good thunderstorm.
I'd say it's more about knowing we have a beautiful country that needed a good watering than being old.

Glad it's just not me. I fucking love hot weather. Could live with it all year round.
But my poor grass was starting to go a very odd yellow / beige colour. It was grinding me a bit.

haha, I did exactly the same thing this morning, the Mrs was moaning about the weather and I said 'well at least it's good for the garden'
another sign of getting old is making a groaning noise every time you bend down to pick something up...which I also do :(
